AI advisory in development

AI advisory for non-profit organizations

From individual AI use to responsible, useful, and sustainable organisational practice.

Approach

AI becomes useful when it fits the organization.

I help organizations think about AI not only as a set of tools, but as part of their workflows, knowledge structures, and decision routines.

I am currently building an advisory practice for non-profit organizations, foundations, and civil society actors. The focus is on responsible AI adoption, practical use cases, knowledge management, and the move from individual experimentation to organisational practice.

Focus areas

What I work on

AI use in teams

From individual use to shared routines, quality standards, and meaningful boundaries.

Knowledge management

Internal knowledge bases, research processes, and organizational knowledge that remains accessible and useful.

Workflows

AI supported workflows for reports, proposals, research, meeting notes, and communication.

Governance and responsibility

Pragmatic rules, roles, and decision points for responsible AI adoption.

About

International development, institutional strengthening, and practical AI use.

Karin Fock

I am an agricultural economist with a PhD and more than 25 years of experience in international development. My work has focused on project design, institutional strengthening, knowledge work, and supporting complex change processes in public and non-profit contexts.

Working with international organizations, public institutions, and implementation partners has shown me that new approaches only become useful when they are translated into real workflows, responsibilities, and decision routines. The same is true for AI.

My AI advisory work builds on this experience. It combines an understanding of organizations, governance, and knowledge work with the practical question of how AI can be used responsibly, usefully, and in ways that fit everyday work.
